What I do
Danielle Gartner is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Social, Behavioral, and Population Sciences at Tulane University. Her research seeks to identify and address disparities in healthy food access and consumption across the United States, with particular attention to states in the southern region. Specifically, she applies community-based participatory research and implementation science approaches to generate evidence that informs and strengthens federal nutrition programs, such as WIC and SNAP. Her dissertation employs the Practical, Robust Implementation and Sustainability Model (PRISM) to evaluate the implementation of the revised WIC food package in Louisiana.
