What I do: 
Angelique Burton is the SNAP Youth Education Coordinator at University of Nevada, Reno Extension, based in Clark County, Nevada. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in public policy at UNLV. Angelique is passionate about forging partnerships, leading effective teams, and instigating structural changes that advance diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is driven by the belief that robust policy is crucial for addressing systemic inequities. In her role at UNR, Angelique focuses on developing and implementing educational programs that promote youth wellness, with a strong emphasis on policy, systems, and environmental change. She looks forward to collaborating with the HER NOPREN workgroup to drive impactful health promotion strategies. She earned her M.A from UNLV’s School of Public Policy and Leadership, and her B.A. from Smith College.
