About

The HER NOPREN Breastfeeding and Lactation Working Group is a Sub-group of the HER NOPREN Early Childhood Work Group. This Collaborative is a joint effort of Healthy Eating Research (HER) and the Nutrition and Obesity Policy and Research Network (NOPREN). 

Mission

The mission of the HER NOPREN Breastfeeding and Lactation Sub-Group is to convene a multi-disciplinary group of academic and government researchers, public health practitioners, representatives from non-Governmental organizations, and advocates who aim to improve the health of the mother-baby dyad and planet through furthering lactation research, policies, and practices. The primary activities of the Sub-Group are hosting meetings to disseminate research and practice, share knowledge of rigorous scientific methods, foster collaborative research, and provide mentorship and networking opportunities for both early career and senior professionals.
